ITALJET makes new alliances...
Italjet returns with the aim to carry out models for those who have always appreciated the refinement in the particulars and the Italian style.
Massimo Tartarini, Italjet's new president, in fact aims at models characterized by quality components and made in Italy aesthetics. This new program has its ground on the collaboration with the most important international groups that allow Italjet to be selective and to choose very reliable engines for its new models. Certainly a profitable program where the Italjet style will reward the technologies that have been adopted. Italjet has always been a 100% Italian brand, why ever this alliance with foreign companies? “Italjet has always been the result of a creative synergy that in the time has had the contribution of prestigious firms, Emmezeta, Morini, Piaggio, Triumph. The collaboration with other firms of Asiatic origin, has been made also for well known reasons, labour cost mainly. As a consequence of it, Italjet will put, as it has always done, its own design, the Italian taste and its quality, and it will look for high performances in the technologies of other firms. Our Country is not damaged by this alliance, because in Italy the industries of the induced activity are widespread, as for example those which carry out the quality components. Therefore the new Italjet motorcycles will be Italian, certainly European, which will be equipped with parts made in Italy and in Europe. That's all. An operation that, I'm sure of it, will bring benefit to everyone. I repeat, our objective is to aim at the originality, at the competence of the true motorcyclist and at strategic alliances”.
MASSIMO TARTARINI He is from Bologna and in 1998 he leaves his family Company (Italjet) to start a new enterprise with Derbi. At the time the brand Derbi, that was not very well known in Italy, in a very short time becomes one of the public's favourite brands. From only one initial product, Derbi, little by little, will enlarge its range. This experience and the preceding experience will give Tararini the technical and commercial knowledge that later on will be important to decide the return of Italjet to motorcycles, the choice of the technological partners and the strategy of alliances.
